Natural outdoor playground
A safe, private playground that eschews artificial surfaces and static play structures, and is instead designed to allow the children to experience nature and play imaginatively in outdoor learning centers that change constantly. Infants and toddlers enjoy a separate outdoor play space where they can safely roam and explore nature.
Daily reports for every child, so families stay apprised of what’s going on in the classroom. Bi-annual parent-teacher conferences with detailed child development reports, so parents and teachers are working together towards the same goals.
Play is children’s work. When children play, they are learning about the world around them. When they run, jump, and climb they are learning about spatial relationships and about how their bodies move. When they build, children engage in mathematical thinking and develop motor skills. When children participate in dramatic play, they are practicing abstract thinking and learning social studies. As children play with their classmates throughout the day, they learn important social skills. These interactions teach them how to negotiate and communicate with peers and adults.
